-----------------------MINUTES ---------------------------
Mike LaBonte conducted the meeting.

Call for IBIS related patent disclosures:

- None

Call for opens:

- Mike: Has there been a reply regarding the IBISCHK development quote request?
- Bob: He has been busy, will issue a quote soon.
  - We need to add 5 or 6 BIRDs and 1 bug report.

- Bob: Curtis Clark had mentioned a code cleanup.

ARs:

- Mike produce text files for each IBISCHK message that has no comment.
  - No new progress.

- Mike recover percent format specifications in spreadsheet.
  - Some progress, going faster with larger screen.

- Mike add comments to CMPNT, DLY, MSPEC sections.
  - No new progress.

- Lance add comments to EBD section.
  - No new progress.

- Bob add comments to CIRCUIT section.
  - No new progress.

IBISCHK6 Code Cleanup:

- Bob showed an email from Curtis Clark.
- Bob: RCS revision data lines in files like mdl.c have not been updated.
- Mike: That could be deceptive.
- Bob: Curtis has a script to remove them.
  - I will ask Atul about this.

- Bob: We would have about $7,900 available for parser work.
  - There also might be one more parser sales coming up.
  - Interconnect and backchannel work might add to the cost.

AMI string parsing rules, related to recent E4662 "bug":

- Bob showed the bug testcase.
- Mike: The parser works like a shell in the way it handles AMI double quotes.
  - Characters adjoining a quoted string become part of the string.
- Bob: That syntax is in error.
- Mike: I think IBIS is about 90% clear on that.
- Bob made AMI changes and ran IBISCHK to prove that it allows spaces in strings.

- Bob showed the requirements for String in IBIS.
- Mike: It violates the last sentence because a quote is in the middle.
- Bob: This mainly violates the first sentence, that it must be enclosed in quotes.
- Mike: Would it be legal to have no space between two quoted strings?
- Bob tried putting a pair of quotes in the middle of a String.
  - That passed IBISCHK.

- Mike: We should file a bug for this.
  - A String should begin and end with a quote and not contain quotes.
  - Also List should require some space between Strings.
  - That would apply to Table too.
- Bob: This will be bug 159

AR: Mike draft String parsing bug report and send to Bob for review.
